One credit carries more than a ton

Each credit is one ton of CO₂e, issued after independent verification and retired once. These carry habitat, health and paid work as well.

A carbon credit stands for one ton of carbon dioxide drawn out of the air, or kept out of it, measured and checked by an independent standard. Once a credit is used, it is cancelled on a public registry, so it can never be sold again.

The credits in Lignum & Bloom come from projects that do more than store carbon. Each one also brings back habitat, protects a coast, or gives families cleaner air, paid work and time.
